    The dreamy, almost silly ballad "Float On" was everywhere on the radio in , and it was both a blessing and a curse for the Floaters, the Detroit quintet that recorded it, because try as they might, they never replicated its success, even though the follow-up single, a wonderful version of "You Don't Have to Say You Love Me," was truly a romantic gem.
